Wesley

Wesley has been very cranky and it is getting progressively worse. Nothing soothes him. He cries, cries, cries, gets breast fed then bottle fed till the 1st burp and then he doesn't take the bottle anymore, takes a   20 minute catnap and  the cycle starts all over. Few times a day he will take a decent 3 hour nap. I've tried everything and the only soothing thing for him is breast feeding, but I am not a human pacifier. His baby rash is also not looking pretty and he has some white spots inside his mouth (thrush ???). So today I took him to see the doctor to hopefully find out it was something simple to fix. The white spots are not thrush but part of his baby rash and will go away. The doctor, herself a mother of a 2.5 year old, spent good 30 minutes with us in the office, most of it trying to calm him down. After eliminating everything else we left the doctor's office with a Colic diagnosis, book recommendation (The happiest baby on the block) and a sample of different formula. So it is official - everyone who warned us that the 2nd baby will be punishment for how easy we had it with Luke was right. It should peak now and start getting better in a couple of weeks leaving us with distant, dreamy, sleep deprived memory soon.

Wesley je v posledni dobe strasne ubrecenej a furt se to zhorsuje a nic nepomaha. Furt place, nakrmim ho, prikrmim formuli - do prvniho krknuti - coz je nekde mezi 25-50 ml a pak uz si tu flasku neveme. Pak si nekdy schrupne asi 20 minut a zacne plakat - a jedem nanovo. Parkrat denne spi po trech hodinach. Jediny co ho uklidni je  krmeni ale ja nejsem chodici dudlik zejo. Jeho pupink taky nevypadaj dobre a ma i bily pupinky v pusince a  tak jsem se dneska rozhodla a vzala jsem ho k doktorce. Pupinky jsou normalni. Doktorka, sama matka 2,5 letyho kluka s nama stravila asi pul hodiny vetsinu casu se snazila uklidnit Wesleyho. Po vylouceni vsech ostatnich pricin jsme z ordinace odchazeli s diagnozou koliky,  doporucenim na knizku o kolice a vzorkem jinyho praskovyho mlika.  Praxe dava za pravdu tem vsem kteri nas varovali ze nase druhy potomce nas potresta za to jak hodny miminko byl Luke.
